Primary English encourages a life-long enthusiasm for reading, writing and spoken communication. Learners develop English skills for different purposes and audiences.
Should my child study Primary English?
This curriculum is for learners who have English as a first language, and is the ideal precursor to Lower Secondary First Language English and IGCSE First Language English.
Primary English is assessed through progression tests in years 5 and 6. Tests are made up of two components:
- Paper 1: Non-fiction
- Paper 2: Fiction
